Mike Tyson has admitted to possession of cocaine and driving under the influence. He was originally stopped in Arizona back in December, 2006, after he was pulled over when seen driving erratically after leaving a nightclub. Police say he was found with 2.6g of coke in his possession as well as traces of pot in his system. They also claim he told them he was addicted to cocaine when he was arrested. Tyson originally denied the charges, but his attorney said he has been in rehab since the incident and has remained clean for the past eight months.
The pending charges carry a maximum sentence of just over four years in prison. Tyson is a two-time loser, having spent time in jail following a 1992 rape conviction and again in 1999 for assaulting two people after a traffic incident. Tyson also bit off the ear of an opponent a few years back and is far more well-known for these things than his original claim to fame, being the youngest heavyweight champion at 20.
