TV and motion picture actor, Kelsey Grammer, is recovering after suffering a mild heart attack.
According to a spokesperson, Grammer and wife, Camille, were kayaking off the islands where they live when he suffered a mild heart attack. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital where he is "resting comfortably."
Grammer portrayed psychiatrist, Frasier Crane, on the classic sit-com, Cheers, before moving to his own, wildly successful spin-off, Frasier. During its run, Frasier managed to set the record for most Emmys ever won by a TV show, surpassing the previous record-holder, The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Most recently, Grammer portrayed Dr. Hank McCoy in the X-Men films. Beast, as McCoy is known in his mutant form, was one of the original X-Men. The team later became X-Factor, a band whose "cover-story" was being mutant hunters (in fact, they recruited them into a program similar to Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters).
His latest sit-com, FOX' Back to You, was recently canceled.

Grammer recently told magazines the attack was "not anticipated." He explains that he had gained some weight and thought he could lose it all in one day with a rigorous exercise routine - which he admits was not very slick.
He says his doctor has told him he should make a full recovery and is "not dying." He said his bedside manner was "pretty funny."
