Iron Man had a good run, being the biggest movie of 2008 so far, but all good things must come to an end, and so it was this weekend for the superhero's stay in the top ten.
Pixar's new WALL-E topped the box office, with Angelina Jolie's Wanted coming in a close second. The former is an animated tale, while the latter has a big comic book tie-in. But producers are not at all disappointed with Wanted's showing; they note the two movies appeal to vastly different audiences. Wanted was scheduled for a March release, but Universal liked it so much, they decided to hold it for the summer, where its cutting-edge action sequences, SFX, and cinematography are expected to draw big crowds.
Last week's topper, Get Smart, fell to #3, while Iron Man fell out of the top ten completely. The Incredible Hulk landed at #5.
