According to sources, Cher is Chris Nolan's first choice for Catwoman in the newest Dark Knight flick. The 63-year old actress is apparently in talks with producers at this point.
Nolan wants her portrayal of the villainess to be more "vampish" than earlier incarnations. Selena Kyle was portrayed as an alcoholic hooker in Frank Miller's seminal The Dark Knight Returns, from which much of the material is pulled (along with Miller's Batman: Year One).
