I know I do a lot of these "what's coming up/what I'm doing" posts, but it's my blog! Seriously though, there are tons of "niche" blogs and sites that deliver straight news stories and press releases and though I frequent many of them, this is not a dry news site; this is a personal blog. So... it is what it is, folks.
Anyway, I am actually coming to you from late last night (hey we sci-fi nerds done been knowing how to time-travel!) and I am working behind-the-scenes (wooooooooo!) and felt like blathering a bit.
September sucked for me, but I somehow managed to get through it. I'm not suggesting October will be a smooth ride, but I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude. I will definitely be working on the site in order to roll-out the new stuff on Halloween (it's a tradition for The Weirding and quite fun, since I have yet to have more than 2-3 trick or treaters in the entire time I've been here). That means some days will still be slow, but it shouldn't be as bad as it has been - especially since I am eagerly adding new bloggers to the roll weekly.
If you're interested in joining us to babble about any and all things pop-culture related, we'd prolly love to have you. We only ask you spel good and have well grammar. Just leave a comment and we'll see what we can do.
I am going to have to do some more marketing and promotion, thanks to Goober, but seeing as how I have done... none the past several months, it's time for it anyway. After the Halloween drop, I will finally start promoting the entire site. Since the blogs are a large part of The Weirding and The Speakeasy managed to do nothing but attract a buttload of spam, they will function as the forums/message boards. I have abandoned the RPG blog as a CMS and will be creating whole pages of the posts I made to incorporate into the departments. Where necessary, I will link to, or create, specific posts to provide for further discussion - it's one of those design things we'll have to take as it comes and see where it goes.
Other than that, expect more of the same.
Yeesh. Guess I'm gonna need a book on marketing, huh?
