Well, not too much to report so far this morning. I am dutifully surfing the sites for breaking news on all fronts, but have yet to come across anything truly Rundown-worthy. I know we often bring you stories that are at least a few days old, but there are reasons for that. Of course, one of the reasons is my abject laziness... well, the fact that I live alone makes it hard to be truly lazy, but still.
I know you hate to be bothered by my personal issues - especially since I seem to have so many of them - but in my own self-interest, I feel pressed to tell you that I was, once again, embroiled in drama created by these awful, drunken neighbors this weekend. It may well lead to my eviction, even though I did nothing wrong - didn't even defend myself! No, it was not a physical altercation - in fact, the whole thing is so silly, you would literally go, "WHA-AT!?" if I told you the details, so for now, I'll keep it to myself - but I did have to breakdown and write the landlady to demand one of the drunkest tenants be removed once and for all. She came here earlier but did not come to speak with me, so who knows how that is going to go?
All of this obviously causes me stress and takes up time that would otherwise be spent working here or elsewhere. And since I am tired of constantly writing to tell you how I wish I could do more and so on, I decided just to let you in on what is actually going on:
The truth is that there are two neighbors who have problems with drugs and alcohol and both have the mental capacity of teenagers (at best!). I understand economic conditions cause certain personality issues to arise and yes, both of them are abjectly poor... but they always seem to find the money to drink! Regardless, the landlords have been ineffective in responding to these issues, forcing me to take up their slack. I've run out of patience with the entire thing.
Anyway, I'm trying my best not to let it get me upset (though it's not easy!) and will continue working. On that note, the site is coming along nicely! I won't be publishing the new stuff until Halloween, though. For now, enjoy what is up and I will be here all day.
