ABC and Warner Bros. TV are moving forward with a V reboot.
The classic mini-series was probably the last great mini-series in TV Land - the kind that was on in every living room across America when it ran. People my age are certain to remember it, as it was a true television extravaganza that dominated the airwaves for its brief tenure.
However, creator Kenneth Johnson is not going to be involved. While he holds the movie rights, Warner Bros. holds the TV rights and has cut him out of the picture. Johnson had nothing to do with the inferior sequel or short-lived TV series of the 1980s, either.
The creator is holding-out hope to find funding for a major motion picture deal which would reunite the original cast. He even has a sequel planned, which would follow the cast 20 years into the future.
The Rundown will keep you apprised of developments.
