Joaquin Phoenix announced that his latest film, Two Lovers, will be his last. His publicist noted he has been directing music videos and involved in the music world for several years now, though did not say whether or not this was the direction in which Phoenix was headed.
I have never personally met Joaquin Phoenix, but I understand he's a bit of a douche. He's allegedly one of these pretentious "Actors" who takes everything he does far too seriously. During an interview with TV show, Extra, he abruptly left when the reporter asked him if he was joking about retiring from movies. Rumors persist as to his arrogance and stand-offishness on-set.
