Roberto Saviano's book, Gomorra, garnered him numerous death threats, as well as a movie deal. Ironically, police in the city of Naples, Italy - in which the book, and the real-life Camorra mafia, are set - have seized numerous pirated copies of the film.
Released earlier this year, Gomorra details the real-life activities of the Camorra mob in and around Naples, Italy. While its DVD release is set for December 3rd, authorities in the area have seized many pirated copies from the streets, as well as some being sold in legitimate kiosks. They believe the Camorra itself may even be behind the pirating!
