Zuda Gets a Printer

DC Comics' online webcomics division, Zuda, will release its first two print projects in 2009, starting with Bayou, by Jeremy Love. Zuda holds a monthly competition where viewers vote for the best webcomic; winners become ongoing series. This is Zuda's first foray into printed media.

Somewhat ironically, Bayou covers racism and violence in 1930's Mississippi, while the second print release from Zuda is High Moon, a Civil-War period piece concerning werewolves. While Zuda focuses on bringing unknowns into the industry through webcomics, Love was actually solicited by DC to join the competition. Gallaher (of High Moon) has been involved in the industry, as well as teaching comics, for over 10 years.
