A spokesperson for Chastity Bono, daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono, said the gay rights activist is undergoing a sex change operation to become a man. According to the spokesman, Chastity Bono began the process earlier this year.
Bono is 40-years old and went public with her sexuality some 20 years ago. Since then, she has written two books detailing her experiences and now works for GLAAD - the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
