Reviews

I know I'm up early, but I'm not going to flood you or anything. I'm going to try my best to get a few reviews out to you today. With the way the comics industry is, these are not necessarily "timely" reviews (when have we ever done timely reviews here?), but because the entire industry is awash in second-printings and TPB collections, I'm going to try my best to save you some $ and frustration, as well as (hopefully) steer you toward some better fare.

Speaking of timely reviews, we got The Beast from Image one week before it went to newsstands. I simply could not review a 150+page book in that time, due to my schedule, and technological constraints. Still, like I say, it's still available and I'm going to review it (and it's good - but that's not my review). I'm also going to give one of the more prolific and generally well-liked writers in the industry a sound drumming. I just don't want to be mean to the guy; it has nothing to do with him as a person and I've no reason to be ugly to him. His work is just kind of... shit.
