Showbiz Rundown - A Reason to Like Harry Potter

Buckle up, chirrens:
  • Josh Herdman, who plays the bully in the Harry Potter movies, was scheduled to do a meet and greet with fans at the Collectormania comics and film convention in Denmark, but organizers say he showed up drunk "out of his skull," cavorted with a "half-naked" blonde, and stunned con-goers by drunkenly staggering about, abusing them. When hoteliers asked him to leave, he fell asleep on a toilet with his pants around his ankles, then jetted to a cafe nearby and demanded an ambulance (not necessarily in that order). Police asked him to pay his bill and leave.
Related news: Harry Potter film festival, my house, tonight.
  • Ewan McGregor is holding-up the Trainspotting sequel, Porno, because he thinks it's a poor sequel. Original scribe, Irvine Welsh, and director, Danny Boyle, have all signed-on to the film, along with the original castmembers. Welsh wrote the book as a sequel several years ago. The film apparently will not go forward without McGregor.
  • Kids in the Hall return to Canadian TV in a scripted, eight-part mini-series in which the cast appears as some 15 characters, including several from their original series. Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town airs in January.
  • Burn Notice has been greenlighted for a fourth season.
  • Lost Boys: The Thirst is coming straight to DVD next year.
  • Eliza Dushku has expressed interest in appearing in the Dr. Horrible sequel. Still shows utter lack of interest in appearing anywhere within 50' of me, refuses to lift unwarranted restraining order.
Remember, pregnant wimmins are not to handle The Rundown due to a specific birth defect.
