While details are sketchy (HA!) and no pitch has been made, spokespersons for Primary Wave, with whom legendary British rock band and '80s' hair-metal powerhouse, Def Leppard, recently signed, say an animated series will find the band "in a fictional, adventurous setting."
Def Leppard's deal with Primary Wave is described as "wide-ranging," and includes video games, cellphone apps, and the aforementioned cartoon series. Primary Wave is now managing Def Leppard's discography, as well. While the band's last album proved their biggest showing since the 1990s, both in the U.S. (#5) and overseas (#10), it fulfilled their contract with Universal and no future recording or touring plans have been made.
