Stan Lee will appear as a major character in his new, multimedia comic book team, The Super Seven. While Lee has appeared as himself in cameos in many comic books and even movies - both based on comic books characters of his and otherwise - "Super Seven is the first time that I'll actually be a continuing character in a far-out, original superhero series," Lee told reporters.
Super Seven concerns a team of aliens who find themselves marooned on earth. Lee takes them under his wing. The team lives "normal" lives as superheroes. The title will be released by Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment, but is not under the Disney licensing arrangement recently finalized. Lee will partner with Archie Comics for the Super Seven.
Super Seven should launch this fall in three media: print, online, and TV.
