Neil Patrick Harris told MTV the sequel to Doctor Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog is a go, but not online, and not for free; it is going to be a major, motion picture. Harris said he didn't know the intended scale of the project, though he agreed that too large a budget would defeat the purpose of the first project, which was made in five days without a budget. "Then again," he said, "You don't want it to be so low-brow that it's not worth paying money to see as a movie."
Neil Patrick Harris was also quick to say he was really only guessing. The biggest impedance to the sequel at this point is scheduling, as all of the principals are busy with their own projects (Castle, How I Met Your Mother, The Guild).
