James Marsters' Three Inches Coming to SyFy

James Marsters, best known as Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, returns to TV in the new SyFy show, Three Inches. Three Inches centers around a small group of superheroes with slightly less than superheroic powers. SyFy's EVP of Development called the show, "Fun, smart, [and] offbeat." The show is from Fox Television Studios, and written by Harley Peyton (Twin Peaks, Less than Zero). Marsters plays the leader of the gang, Troy.

While Troy's powers have yet to be revealed, the show is named for another character, Walter's, power: After being struck by lightning, Walter develops psychokinesis, but can only move objects a distance of 3".

SyFy has another superhero project entitled Alphas; both shows' 90-minute pilots have been greenlighted by the network, but neither has been picked-up for series.
James Marsters was recently engaged to his girlfriend, who is 23 years his junior.
