A "lost" sketchbook diary of Robert Crumb's is set for auction the weekend of March 4-6th, 2011.
The iconic counterculture artist was best known for his album cover work for bands like Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Grateful Dead for the first half of his career; later, R. Crumb became known best for his underground comics. Ralph Bakshi based his film, Fritz the Cat, on several of his comics (Crumb did not like the movie).
The sketchbook is the main draw amongst several pop-culture lots, including Marvel and DC comics, animation, and Disney memorabilia.
