NBC picked-up Roseanne Barr's new sit-com, Downwardly Mobile, in which she portrays the manager of a trailer park who plays surrogate mother to the many tenants. Barr will write and executive produce, as will Eric Gilliland, who worked with Roseanne on her classic, self-titled ABC sit-com.

John Goodman has signed-on to the untitled project, though his role is unknown. This will reunite the two for the first time since they worked together on Roseanne.
