Monkees frontman and actor, Davy Jones, died from a heart attack at age 66 yesterday. Jones rose to pop cultural icon thanks to The Monkees, a made-for-TV band that was featured in their own show. Television producers created the band for the series to cash-in on The Beatles' fame. Davy Jones was scheduled to play with the rest of The Monkees this month. He also appeared on the most rerun TV episode in history: An episode of The Brady Bunch in which Marcia asks Davy Jones to play her highschool prom.
