Witnesses saw director Tony Scott climb over a fence and jump off the Vincent Thomas Bridge last night. His body was later recovered by authorities who found a suicide note in his office. Some reports say notes to loved ones were found in his car. Newer reports claim that a source close to Scott said he had inoperable brain cancer. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Scott was best known for directing movies like Top Gun and Days of Thunder, as well as Quentin Tarantino's True Romance.
