I am Legend author Richard Matheson has died at age 87. Matheson was a prolific sci-fi, horror, and dark fantasy writer whose credits include the aforementioned as well as countless short stories, teleplays, and screenplays including work on The Twilight Zone and more. Steven Spielberg's directorial debut was based on Matheson's short, Duel, which I briefly reviewed recently.
Spielberg, Steven King, and others offered stirring tributes in memoriam.
