DC Comics is moving its editorial team from New York City to Burbank, California to consolidate with its digital offices. A lot could be read into this but for now, the only thing that is certain is that DC Comics will be centered in Burbank by 2015. DC moved their digital offices to Burbank back in 2010.
Speculatively, it makes me wonder if they aren't going to transition to a more digital-based publishing model and slowly phase-out print comics altogether. It's a stretch, certainly, but it was the first thing that crossed my mind when I read about this.
