Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull actor, Shia LaBeouf, crushed his hand severely in what appeared to be a DUI accident last week in LA.
As we told you then, LaBeouf and a passenger were both injured when his truck hit a lightpole. LaBeouf was arrested for suspicion of intoxication but not formally charged. Now police are saying the other car involved may have run a red light.
LaBeouf underwent a four-hour operation on his hand and will remain under doctors' care until further notice. Transformers sequel (Revenge of the Fallen) director, Michael Bay, said the injury may be worked into the script. However, LaBeouf has yet to be cleared for work. He is still susceptible to infection and further complications, due to the nature of his injuries.
While the sheriff's office said LaBeouf was not at fault for the accident, it is unclear whether or not he will be charged for DUI.
