Many of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's cast reunited last Friday at the William S. Paley Television Festival, where they viewed the 5th-season musical episode, "Once More, With Feeling."
The episode in question recently made headlines when FOX had it removed from movie theaters which had been showing it on a recurring basis, ala The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to the dismay of many fans. Another cult-favorite TV show, Angel, was a spin-off from the WB show and featured many of the show's members in guest-appearances as well as recurring roles. Both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel have recently been revived in comic books which literally pick-up where the TV series left off, and both titles are best-sellers.
While many of the stars in attendance admitted they had fond memories of the series and would be open to discussions of further appearances in conjunction with the characters and properties, creator, Joss Whedon, noted, "So many stars would have to align..." - and he was not just talking about celebrity actors. Most have moved on to other successful projects and franchises, as has Whedon, who is currently working on a new sci-fi series with Buffy/Angel alum, Eliza Dushku.
Cast alumni in-attendance included Amber Benson, Seth Green, Charisma Carpenter, Emma Caulfield, James Marsters, and more.
