Ben Stiller's flick, Tropic Thunder, remained at the top of the box office charts for a stunning third week, despite criticisms over several of the humorous components, including Robert Downey Jr. in blackface and the use of the word "retard."
D&D enthusiast, Vin Diesel's, Babylon A.D. entered the charts at #2, while Dark Knight passed the $500 mark. It is only the second film in movie history to have done so. Perhaps more impressive, the superhero flick moved back up the charts to the #3 position.
