Keanu Reeves confirmed that he has been cast as Spike in the live-action adaptation of anime series, Cowboy Bebop. Widely considered one of the better anime series, Cowboy Bebop ran on [adult swim] for several years. Heavily influenced by Western music, the titles often referred to music genres or song titles and episodes were called "sessions."
The project has no director or writer attached but Reeves said the most important job would be the production designer's. He also noted the series' disconnected nature made it difficult to find a story they wanted to tell.
