Heroes Renewed, but for Shorter Run

Heroes remains tied with The Office as NBC's most-viewed show in the 18-49 age bracket, but its declining ratings have led some to speculate on its return. However, Heroes has been renewed for a fourth season - albeit for only 18-20 episodes. That is fewer episodes than any season so far (not including the second, which was cut short due to the writers' strike).

This is sad only because this season has truly turned things around. Heroes still has a long way to go, but this third season has seen a serious change, with the characters actually doing things, stories actually going somewhere - and some of them even taking the bold step of making sense!
