Matt Cirulnick and David Manpearl's Earp: Saints for Sinners is an updated version of the Wyatt Earp legend, which places him in a post-Apocalyptic Las Vegas. Dreamworks bought the rights and Cirulnick is handling the screenplay. However, Raimi has several other projects ahead of this one, and Radical Studios has had a number of properties optioned already -- none of which have made it to production.
The Man in Black has laid ruin everything Roland Deschain holds dear and this May, the Lone Gunslinger embarks on an all-new quest to avenge his fallen gunslingers in Dark Tower: The Gunslinger – The Journey Begins #1.
Wow! Since it was widely-reported, I did not bring you the press release about how the Dark Tower hardcover (HC) was voted #1 online a few weeks back, but this one really blows my mind! I could kick myself for not having made a bigger deal over not having received the Dark Tower issues I ordered! I ordered two of them and did not receive any, but I didn't bother to say anything because the title had been delayed and I didn't go back and double-check my order, so I figured they just canceled my order or whatever - however that works.
I grew up reading Stephen King; he was my favorite author all throughout highschool. I read pretty much everything he did up to a point and even people who didn't really care for his work liked the Dark Tower series. I read all but the last few (even though I have all of them, I think) and I really wanted to see the comics series, but missed-out on ordering them... par-for-the-course in ManodogsLand. Anyway, this here's an official Marvel press release:
