11 November 2008 (Berkeley, CA) - Yesterday morning, The Chicago Tribune's RedEye announced Erik Larsen's famed Image Comics superhero, SAVAGE DRAGON, would be returning to the Chicago Police Force after a 12 year absence -- with Barack Obama there to greet him in his first comic book appearance as the President-elect!

"Writing and drawing Savage Dragon as a cop after nearly 12 years feels good -- it feels right," Larsen told the Tribune. "It's a homecoming of sorts and it's a joy to be back."

SAVAGE DRAGON's announcement in the Tribune's RedEye included an exclusive comic strip featuring Chicago's other beloved adopted son, President-elect Barack Obama, congratulating Dragon on his new position. The appearance will be printed in March's SAVAGE DRAGON #145, also the issue in which Savage Dragon returns to the police force.

SAVAGE DRAGON #145, a 32-page full color comic book for $3.50, will be available in stores March 25th, 2009.
