Owen Wilson attended the American premiere of his new movie, The Darjeeling Limited, weeks after a reported suicide attempt. As we reported here, nothing was ever confirmed as to why the actor was taken to the hospital about a month and a half ago, but Owen Wilson did ask the press to allow him to heal in private. Reports of drug abuse and attempted suicide surfaced in the wake of the incident.
Director and collaborator, Wes Anderson, told the press Wilson was doing well and again admonished them to allow the actor and his family to heal in private. Wilson was not expected to make the premiere of the movie and missed the world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
