Nightblogging Too - The Watchmen and Olympics

Well, you're not the only one up late working! I'm typing, listening/watching the Olympics and thought I would mention a unique online comic book I stumbled across on iTunes.

It seems The Watchmen is now the most anticipated comic book movie. If you haven't seen the The Watchmen Movie trailer, check it out and you'll know why. But if you want to see a video rendition of the comic book and can't wait for the movie, make your way over to iTunes and search for "watchmen" .

DC has released a video on iTunes of the first issue of the comic book series. It takes art from the comic, does what I would call a "semi-animation", adds voice acting and voila, a very compelling piece of work. It's true to the comic book because it is the comic book. I read the graphic novel about 6 months ago to brush up on the story and the video was still captivating.

There has been a lot of speculation and market testing to see how comic book characters will be conveyed in the online medium. If you want to see one potential course for online comic books, take a look.

Best - Sean

P.S. It's hard to keep typing with Phelps setting those world records!

Hey man!

I heard about the new Watchmen webcomic somewhere - maybe during the G4 Comic-Con coverage - but hadn't heard much else about it, so I'm glad you posted!

@Phelps - I know! And this morning, it was all about how Amanda Beard dropped the ball! It's just too much fun!

If you Nerd-out on sports, is it still Nerding?
