E! has first-look pictures of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, straight from the set of the upcoming Iron Man 2. Whiplash will be joined by several other Iron Man foes in the sequel, including the Mandarin. Director, Jon Favreau, approved the release of the stills you'll find through the link. After what happened with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I'd imagine Iron Man 2 is jumping through flaming hoops to control this puppy; Iron Man was the biggest film of 2008.
Downey will also appear as Iron Man, Tony Stark in the upcoming Avengers movie. Don Cheadle is the new War Machine and Samuel L. Jackson will make his first appearance (of many scheduled) as Nick Fury in Iron Man 2.
Iron Man 2 hits theaters May 7th, 2010.
