Spider-Man 3 will premiere in New York on April 30th, after its Tokyo premiere April 16th. The NY screening will be the climax of openings around the world, including one in London on the 23rd. It will then premiere around the world May 1st-4th.
New York is more than just rolling out the red carpet for everyone's favorite wall-crawler - they're actually rolling out a black one; a parade will present the stars of Spider-Man 3 (Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst), there will be a Spider-Man rap contest (um, what rhymes with "cheesy"?), and themed exhibitions. Aside from the black carpet touch, the coolest thing is that the premiere is happening in Queens - the web-slinger's home borough.
New York is hoping the big premiere and all the week-long festivities will allow them to reach out to a new audience, including the large fan base of the series.

According to G4, Maguire has stated that he is interested in a fourth Spider-Man movie project, despite rumors to the contrary.
Of course, the earlier "rumors" were more than likely put into the press by Maguire's own PR agents and managers; that's how "the game" is played, in order to increase interest in his return to the project, ensure another project, and up his price.
Well,
I have got my tickets for the premiere in NYC on Apr 30, can wait to watch the Spidey in action before anyone does
I envy you, srikanth!
Do us a favor and let us know how it is, if you don't forget! And thanks for commenting - hope to hear more from you.
I have some more comics-cum-movie news coming up today, including a Kirsten Dunst quote concerning the Spider-Man movie franchise.
If you have a ticket coupon are you guaranteed seating? what time do all the festivities begin?
