Even though both sides' attorneys informed the former pop-princess that it would be in her best interest to appear at a scheduled hearing today if she wanted to regain visitation rights to her two children, Britney Spears did not show up. Some sources suggested she stayed at home with her new flavor-of-the-month, paparazzo, Adnan Ghalib.
Kevin Federline showed up nearly a 1/2-hour early. As much as I hate to admit it - and everyone has said that at least 323047 times since this debacle began - K-Fed doesn't just have a right to those kids, he deserves them. Regardless of his gold grill and apparent lack of talent, he may be a good father; he is definitely a better parent than Little Miss Not-So-Innocent.
Today's hearing was in response to the much-publicized breakdown Britney had a few weeks back, which resulted in a 3-hour standoff with police. Brit-Brit had to be restrained and forced into a hospital for observation under California's 5150 law. Shortly after being released, she abandoned her car because it had a flat tire and her family publicly attacked Dr. Phil McGraw, who had attempted to intervene on the former pop-star's behalf, for not being more "discreet." Ye-ah.
Those kids need to be turned-over to their father and Britney's visitation rights should be cut-off permanently for the immediate future. She's going further downward spiral and there's no stopping it until she hits rock-bottom and wallows around there for a while... I mean, Britney Spears doesn't seem to have a rock-bottom, does she?

Apparently, knowing that no one will take him seriously as a performer, K-Fed is trying to make a go of things in the music business as a producer. Britney Spears is not going to be allowed visitation until April, unless something happens to change that between now and then.
I personally think the only thing that might change it will be another one of her "episodes," and the change will be that her rights will be denied for even longer.
