Two ambulances left her gated home in Studio City, California, sometime Thursday night/early Friday morning. The first carried the former pop princess and the second carried an unidentified child. Both headed in the same direction.
Police were summoned to the home around 8:00 PM and remained there some two hours later, when a firetruck, two ambulances, more cops, and the press arrived. While details are sketchy, police confirmed that the original call was in regards to a custody battle they were "trying to resolve peacefully." Britney Spears' two children were turned over to Kevin Federline's "people" shortly before 11:00. Reports indicate K-Fed's attorney was present on the scene early in the goings-on, but left before the fit really hit the shan. Apparently, cops responded according to a court document which stated the children were to be in the custody of the one-time white rapper. Us Weekly states the incident began when Federline's bodyguards arrived to get the children and Brit-Brit refused them custody.
Britney Spears' family attorney filed a motion Wednesday to be relieved of his duties in the matter, citing a "breakdown in communications."
