Star Wars TV

I heard this a few days back but have been busy with other projects and I knew other folks would pick up on it, but here it is:

George Lucas has confirmed that Star Wars will be hitting the boob-tube sometime soon. He is working on two Star Wars-related television projects: one a live-action series that will feature supporting characters and is Skywalker-free, the other a 3-D CGI-animated Clone Wars series that "to go after 9 o'clock, and it can't be a kiddie channel," according to Lucas.

While the live-action series is a shoe-in that Lucas expects to run for at least 100 episodes, the animated show is not. George Lucas complained that many TV executives are wary of it and admits the live-action series is the more ambitious of the two. However, the original voice of C-3PO has signed-on and the show will feature many of the key players Star Wars fans have come to know and love.
