Yes, I know I missed the big Iron Man premiere and discussing it ad nauseam, but the only real news before it hit theaters was that it was Marvel's first movie from their own studio - everything else you heard about the same time I did and was widely-reported. I just no longer bother with stuff like that unless I have something personal to include (even if it's just my "take" on it or a silly one-liner) and there was nothing this go-round.Of course, by now you already know Iron Man took in more than $100 million its opening weekend, making it one of the most successful openings ever - somewhere in the top ten, anyway - and that it appears to be a hit for both fans and critics, so that's really all I have in that department.
However, I can also tell you that the new series, Invincible Iron Man, sold-out yesterday and Marvel has no plans to reprint it at this time. All things said, Iron Man is far and away Marvel's hottest property right now and if the movie hangs on to the #1 spot another week or two, the new Wolvie flick will be all the talk in no time.
