I... I'm... I'd say "aghast," and there is some of that, but it doesn't quite cover it...
NBC's Law & Order has cast Kristi Swanson (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame - the movie, that is - which was on FMC earlier tonight) as a small-screen version of Anna Nicole Smith. David Cross will star as her Howard K. Stern counterpart. Swanson made it into the tabloids for sleeping with her married skating partner on FOX' Skating with the Stars, whose wife was pregnant with their second child. She and the co-skater had their first child earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Smith's former bodyguard is selling stuff from her diary on e-Bay.
I know Anna Nicole was a whore and a drug-addict and she certainly didn't live her life with much modesty, but that was her choice and she took the responsibility for how she handled herself and lived her life while she was alive. Now that she's dead...
Doesn't anyone have any sense of decency anymore? I mean, they haven't even determined the cause of death yet and they're already digging her up and killing her again. I'm so ashamed of modern America that it makes me sick to admit I live here!
So she was no angel -- who amongst us is -- does she really deserve such disrespect in death? I mean, couldn't these people at least wait a suitable amount of time before doing this to her? I hope, when she grows up, that her daughter isn't subjected to the same kind of treatment and that this doesn't have a lasting effect on her.
