Well, last Monday was the first Heroes I missed since its premiere. Y'all don't chat too much - to my chagrin - and I'm pleased when you do, but I wish someone would fill me in on what went down. I know I can surf the Blogosphere and hit the fansites, but with what's been going on, there just hasn't been the time.
Our favorite witchy show returns Saturday, June 2nd. Don't get me wrong, Charmed's a hell of a lot of fun and brings all new meaning to the term, Spank-o-vision, but nothing beats Hex when it comes to this type of stuff. Hot chicks and all, the special effects are next to nothing on TV - giving even our vaunted Heroes a run for its money. And don't even bring up anything sci-fi. Dresden Files hits Hex' stylistic flair on the head, but there's just nothing that beats the daemonic punch Hex brings. It makes shows like Angel and Buffy look exactly like what they are: comedies with scary-type stuff thrown in to be cool (though they both had their moments and eventually made their place in TV-dom).
Speaking of the British, next week brings out the worst in BBCA in the best of ways, with a full Mum's Day Marathon of Absolutely Fabulous. I caught the whole mini-marathon of Saunders' and French's new outing, Clatterford, last Sunday and even though I'd tried it a few times before with mixed results, seeing them back-to-back really gelled it for me. I suggest waiting for another marathon for the full effect - definitely worth it.
Missed Smallville tonight, but I have to be honest, the whole "everyone knows everyone's secrets but are just letting them go" storyline isn't cutting it for me lately. Besides, I had a fish fry. And if you could cook fish like I can, Smallville can wait for the reruns.
Supernatural's rocking it's ass off, as usual. It's like porn for nerds.
Much more to come - in fact, since Linux is taking quite it's sweet time to load on this old box I threw together, I've got a lot to cover tonight/early tomorrow morning.
Hope everyone else's night is as good as mine has been so far!

I tried watching Hex once. Once was more than enough... comparisons to Point Pleasant are more apt than to the Slayer or Charmed.
I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy it. There was a big flap when it premiered here because BBCA showed the episodes out of order from which they originally aired across the pond there. It certainly started-off slow and that was the biggest complaint.
This next season is supposed to be a lot more action-packed, much like the latter half of the first one. Point Pleasant sounds familiar, but I don't know it. I'll IMdb it later.
Thanks for reading and commenting!
