The original artwork for the cover to Daredevil #43, featuring Captain America, sold at auction for just over $3500 after receiving 12 bids. The cover art was penciled by the legendary Jack Kirby and penned by equally legendary Joe Sinnott.The artwork came in at 10”x15” (which was what all comic art used to be - there is much more variety in size now, with advances in printing and sweeping changes to production) and was mostly photostat.
Daredevil is probably the best thing on the newsstands today, standing heads and shoulders above almost everything else. It is definitely in the top-ten, if nothing else, and in the top-three from the Big Two.
