Okay, so I missed The Business, but I’m sure it’s as good as it was last season. Still, it was serendipity that I woke up literally as The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman came on and I thanked the Lord for it all night long.
Minor Accomplishments is so funny, it is just ridiculous. You are guaranteed at least one, good belly-laugh per episode - one of those laughs that gets better with age (you will giggle at least once more after the credits roll). And this season is no different.
Jackie and Tara are already back to their ways in the season premiere, pretending to be a lesbian power(less?) couple in order to get a gas-guzzling vehicle for cheaper than imaginable. Unfortunately, their cover is put to the ultimate test and Christian eco-warriors target Tara and her new truck as an “Earth Killer.”
The actresses are in top form, the writing is crisper than it was previously - which is not a minor accomplishment - and the trademark, profanity-laden dialogue is in full-swing. I really don’t know what to say about this show, seeing as how it is just too, too funny and I am in love with Laura Kightlinger, so I’m just going to gush and gush.
Still, if you have not seen The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman or The Business, check out IFC this Wednesday night for the encore presentation, then tune-in every Sunday night at 10:00 PM, CST, for new episodes.
