According to Variety, both Mary-Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy will appear in Marc Webb's (how apropos is that, huh?) reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise, and Emma Stone is on the short list to portray Spidey's never-to-be wife. Other possible actresses include Teresa Palmer and Lily Collins.
Stone has an impressive resume spanning both TV and movies, including the recent Zombieland. She is also eying a lead role in the upcoming 21 Jump Street flick. Several of Emma Stone's latest films have come from Sony, which is doing both 21 Jump Street and the Spider-Man reboot. If she lands either role, Stone may have to choose between the two projects.
Allow me to belabor the obvious here for just a moment and note that Spider-Man 3 was just released three years ago! Emma Stone may be forced to choose between a "reboot" of a franchise from which the last installment was released to home audiences only about a year ago, and the film "remake" of a 25(+/-)-year-old TV series.
