Sick of TV Graphics!

Okay, so I'm trying to watch Roswell on Sci-Fi this morning (never got into it before, but I noticed that the redhead is the girl from Grey's Anatomy) and it's showing who is guest-starring, and all of a sudden, some banner ad pops up across the bottom of the screen and blanks out the names... and stays up until they are all done!

Of course, this is far from the first time and this isn't the only channel -- it isn't even the worst one about doing it! I was watching something the other day (I forget what and what channel) and parts of it were subtitled, and there was a frigging graphic ad blocking the actual dialogue! And it really put me off the entire show -- I changed the channel altogether! I hadn't really been watching whatever it was, but then I started getting into it and, all of a sudden, half the important stuff is just cut out! So, I cut-out myself.

I like it when a channel tells me what's coming on next at the bottom of my screen. Commercials during the current program work just fine too, but a small text ad or banner graphic is cool -- as long as it isn't intrusive! And completely blocking dialogue and credits seems a bit intrusive to me, no matter how the word is defined.
