Shut UP! Paris, Stan Lee, 30 Days of Night

Stan Lee is developing an animated TV series for Paris Hilton! Of course, he already did Striperella for Pamela Anderson a few years back (which... you know, there's no really good epithet here that isn't obvious... let's just say it was bad), which only lasted a few episodes for good reason. But Stan just signed to Disney, giving the Mouse Kingdom first shot at any of his new projects. Of course, it's highly unlikely that Disney is going to fool with Paris ("It's not right! Mom!"); MTV has been mentioned as a possible buyer.

A definite release date of October 19th has been set for the screen adaptation of 30 Days of Night with one Sam Raimi (Evil Dead trilogy, Spider-Man trilogy) as producer. 30 Days is a vampire tale set in the barren wilderness of Barrow, Alaska, where it is dark for 30 days straight once a year. The original mini-series, upon which this adaptation is based, became a comics classic and has since been reprinted and collected into TPB. The movie stars Josh Hartnett (Sin City) and Melissa George. I'm so excited about this one, I could just squeal.
