Mice Templar Sells Out Again!

I have several PRs to get to you, but I just wanted to note how many comics are selling-out lately! It's one thing when the big companies sell-out on a major event title that's gotten tons of coverage and a lot of advance hype - you expect that - but it seems like all sorts of comics titles have been selling like hot cakes the past few months. And the titles and concepts are so disparate that you can't really point to the surge of superhero-based movie successes, either. This is an official Image Comics press release:

Berkeley, CA (November 16th, 2007) - Since its initial announcement Michael Avon Oeming and Bryan J.L. Glass' fantasy epic, THE MICE TEMPLAR, has received much praise, now resulting in a second sell through at the distribution level.

"We were very grateful when it happened the first time around, but are nearly speechless to have this happen yet again," said series artist and co-creator Michael Avon Oeming. "Bryan and I have years of stories to tell and are thrilled we have the support to make our vision a reality."

Despite a significant overship, THE MICE TEMPLAR #2 sold out within a matter of hours, generating attention that shows no signs of yielding. Since then the reviews have appeared to be unanimous, praising the years of preparation Oeming and Glass put into the series. Due to the continued support, Oeming is providing the second printing with an all-new, fully painted cover.

THE MICE TEMPLAR #2 2nd printing (SEP078106), a 32-page full color comic for $2.99, is currently available for orders and will be in stores December 5th, 2007.
