4400, Jericho

Jericho returns tonight on CBS. The Sci-Fi Channel showed a mini-marathon of the earlier episodes last night. Fans saved the post-Apocalyptic drama by sending peanuts to the executives at the network, but whether or not Jericho returns for a third season depends on this season's ratings.

Taking their cue from Jericho fans, supporters of the USA sci-fi drama, 4400, sent executives at that network at least 1/2-ton of sunflower seeds so far. One executive noted they had received about 30 pounds of seeds last week, but that was before a 650-lb. shipment was sent by Giants Snacks, LLC.

Actor Jeffrey Combs, whose character on the show, Dr. Kevin Burkhoff, was the inspiration for the campaign, said, "Love it. Love them for doing this." Adding that, "There's nothing better than an avid fan."

Combs may be better-known to many of us as "that weird guy" from Re-Animator and Frighteners.
