Britney Spears' 72 hours is nearly up, but sources say she isn't going anywhere.
While conservatorship has been granted her father for the time being, Britney cannot legally be held against her will. However, it is being reported that even she understands that where she is is the best place for her to be at this point.
These same sources say that the doctor in charge of her case suggests Britney stay put for at least another 11 days (for 14 in total). But if Britney decides to go all legal, she may be able to leave earlier. While Jamie Spears technically has control over her and her estate, only her doctor can make an involuntary stay request to courts; she is not legally required to remain at the hospital but she will have to legally contest if she decides to leave.
Ms. Spears is the subject of two court cases this Monday. First, lawyers for her and Kevin Federline will meet, concerning custody of their two children. After that, her father and lawyer, Andrew Wallet, will decide whether or not to ask for an extension on their temporary conservatorship. A probate hearing will convene at 1:30 PM. Spears will be allowed to contest such an action at this time, should she so choose.
