Joe Francis, founder and owner of the Girls Gone Wild video series (which I am ashamed to admit has become an American institution), is back in court again and this time, I'm actually on his side - kinda.
Ashley Dupré - the girl who became famous for being the whore who slept with then-New York governor, Eliot Spitzer, is suing Joe Francis for peddling her naked image in a new Girls Gone Wild video. The years-old footage is backed by a legal release, but here's the kicker: Dupré was 17 at the time and Francis plied her with alcohol - and the suit was filed in Florida!
According to Francis, they could still peddle her underage images, since no sexual contact was involved. Further, he says they even offered her $1 million, which she declined (but he said they were willing to let her reconsider). Dupré has hit Francis and his cohorts and companies with a slew of charges, including cybersquatting and unfair enrichment.
Now, I can understand her wanting to make a living the way she does without it being public knowledge, but it's a wee-bit late for that, now isn't it? The long and short of it is that Dupré just doesn't want anyone else to get a piece of the action - so to speak. Looky here, Little Miss Thang, your 15 minutes is about up; I'd take the $1 million and STFU.

Ashley Dupre dropped her lawsuit over the 4th of July (2008) weekend. Now, rumors have surfaced that she is shopping a reality show - something like The Bachelorette - only, you know, with a whore.
