Fay, Fay, Go Away!

When I went to the store for smokes this morning (I still have yet to receive the money due me, so I am praying the check I wrote does not bounce), the lights flickered and they had to reset the pumps. I got home and the computer was fine, but the clouds were still rolling in, so I took a few hours off.

It finally "broke" an hour or so ago and drizzled here and lightly rained there for moments. Now, it appears as though the storm has passed, but it was really touch and go there for the last few days.

Vista is a pretty stable OS, I give it that. I leave my Automatic Updates on and basically allow MS near-complete access to my system, so I have had almost 0 problems (of course, the e-mail client did crash that one time when the lights failed and I don't want to go through that again), so I am not too concerned about a full crash, but I am worried about losing whatever data might be open when the power fails. And around here, the power fails when someone farts. Not even a real ripper - one of those church farts.

But while we're on the subject, Explorer constantly crashes whenever I have both the webdesign program and FTP open. Constantly. It comes right back, but it still crashes.

Anyway, the day is not a complete loss, though everything is delayed a little.

And, so, back to the blogging...
